Attorney King was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut in 1985 after graduation from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He worked primarily as a solo practitioner in Connecticut, as well as operating his own real estate investment and management company, until his move to Vermont in 2001. He spent several years working in the nonprofit sector in Vermont, working as a program manager and Executive Director of the Central Vermont Community Land Trust in Barre, before returning to the legal sector in 2006. He was admitted to the Vermont Bar in 2007, and worked for several medium sized law firms in the Burlington area before opening his own office in Burlington in 2009. His current office is conveniently located on Route 7, just south of the center of Middlebury.
Attorney King is currently admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut (retired status), Vermont, and the United States District Courts of Connecticut and Vermont. He has a general practice law office, including work in the areas of general business and nonprofit law (including applications for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status), real estate, bankruptcy and probate matters. He is also a certified Vermont foreclosure mediator.
